I’ve been working on the backside of WordPress all morning and now I think my head is going to explode.
I have used WordPress for my blog for more than a decade. I am very much a plug and play person. Except now I am trying to do all the coding and programming myself and it’s pretty much gibberish to me.
You should see all the tabs I have open right now, both literally and figuratively. I’m trying to use The Googles to help me figure out how to do things. Yet WordPress updates often therefore I need to make sure I am reading only the most current helps.
Oh my my.
This hurts my head. I want to give up. I want to say, “Screw it, I don’t care how much it costs, I’ll outsource this.” That’s what I’ve been doing for the last 10+ years. This is something I need to face head on and learn to do. Plenty of people use WordPress and have figured out how to do so. It’s not brain surgery. But my head sure feels like it’s going to explode.
Time for a break.
I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished but now I need to walk away for a bit. So I can come back at it with a fresh perspective and an unexploding brain.
What are you working on that causes your brain to feel like it’s going to explode and makes you want to quit – but you’re too tenacious to throw in the towel?
